Interesting list... I'm not very knowledgable about salaries. But, one that I do know should be on the list is Phil Nevin at $9.5 million.

He is the highest paid player on the Rangers, but certainly not even close to the most skilled.

He has looked pretty good this first week, but I wouldn't hold my breath he'll continue.

As for Kris Benson, being able to have his wife around the clubhouse is worth at least $4.3 million to club morale. So, in reality, his salary is $4.0 million, and that is more reasonable.

Maggs this year is a bargain compaired to Bobby Higginson the last few years. You could add D. Young to the list and Pudge from last season. Although Pudge started well this year so hopefully he'll keep it up.
