Three or four weeks ago, it seemed as if every day the Cubs were losing games similar to Tuesday night's game in Los Angeles against the Dodgers, but this time they came out with a 10-inning, 2-1 win. Carlos Zambrano's great outing did not go to waste when Neifi Perez -- who should at least get some All-Star consideration -- drove in the game-winning run in the tenth inning. The Cubs caught a break because Eric Gagne only stayed in for one inning (9th). Had this been later in the season or if Gagne was at full strength he likely would have stayed in for at least one more inning. Ryan Dempster nailed down his sixth save, as finally someone was able to hold a one-run lead in the last inning of the game. The Cubs also extended their season-long winning streak to five games and matched their season-best two games over .500. A win behind John Koronka tonight would be huge, but at least the Cubs have won the first two games in the series and aren't under as much pressure as they were after last Thursday's loss to Colorado. I think if the team isn't under a tremendous amount of pressure that will allow them to play better.
