Red Sox are still looking to trade Manny Ramirez (By: Jaydawg) |
It looks like the Boston front office has had enough of Manny's shenanigans. One minute, he wants to leave the team, and the next minute, he wants to stay. The Red Sox should be able to get an all-star player in return. It would be a mistake to deal with the Mets. All they would probably offer is Carlos Beltran and a few prospects. Beltran has never been as good as Manny and he's been disappointing with the Mets. Baltimore is still unhappy with Tejada, so I wouldn't rule out a trade with them. |
BGeeks Podcast #2 will be recorded this weekend. Link goes to podcast advertising info. Subjects to be discussed and a question seeking your comments is in the comments thread (By: Reedster) |
We will be discussing the top 10 AL/NL first basemen last year for fantasy baseball, a "false rumors" quiz, and the most interesting baseball news from links submitted at baseballgeeks (this is a good way to try and get your blog mentioned on the podcast for free, if your story/blog entry gets referenced), and another addition to our "Biggest Fantasy Mistakes" we made from last season. We would also like to put out the following question for comment from you (you may be mentioned on the podcast): How do you prepare for your fantasy draft(s) and how do you manage your preparation time with your real life? The link above, FYI, goes to podcast advertising info. Only $10 gets you a 10 second... Last comment by: drrubb @ 1/12/06, 10:03pm |

Last weeks Podcast sounded great. You had some interesting perspectives on the hot young prospects, Miguel Tejada, and the blockbuster transactions, particularly by the Dodgers. For Podcast #2, it might be a good idea to talk about whether or not a salary cap is necessary, since there was quite a buzz on that topic this week. Last comment by: drrubb @ 1/12/06, 10:03pm |

Re: Eddie Murray is Named The New Dodger Hitting Coach (By: saundrabeach) |
Loved the article. I loved watching Eddie play with the Dodgers. So nice to see when they stay with the sport that they loved and then are recognised as he is now. Last comment by: drrubb @ 1/11/06, 5:51am |

Eddie Murray is Named The New Dodger Hitting Coach (By: Jaydawg) |
Great move by the Dodgers... Murray is one of the most disciplined hitters to ever play the game and has always been known for his leadership qualities. I think he'll do wonders for young players like J.D. Drew, Jayson Werth, and Jose Cruz Jr. Last comment by: drrubb @ 1/11/06, 5:51am |
