I'm sure it's no coincidence that Angels owner Arte Moreno is trying as much as possible to emulate what the Dodgers USED to be. A la Dodger Stadium, his place is now called Angel Stadium. A la Dodger Vision, they have Angel Vision. And on this club, guys like Scioscia and Hatcher weren't given the boot in favor of coaching legends like Glenn Hoffman and Jim Tracy. The silver lining in the status of many, like me, becoming Dodger Refugees is that at least the Angels a few miles up the 5 can at least remind us of why we grew up loving the Dodgers, and in a new gesture to the fans, Moreno is spending globs of bucks on the Big A's scoreboard system.. How about TWO video scoreboards? And a video ring surrounding the field? Check the link.

I wasn't quite sure who DodgerRefugee was untilI read this link/blurb. Welcome, Chris... glad you found this (before I even mentioned it).I was going to tell you about it when it was completely finished... thanks for helping me get the ball rolling on this... even if you have switched to the dark side. You DO realize that you can get pegged a bandwagoner... and it is EASY to like the Angels with their roster this year.

I am not a bandwagoner...I am a refugee...There's a difference.A bandwagoner joins up with something only because everyone elseis.A refugee is someone who after years of loyalty is alarmed by changes that force him out. Like when one flees to Pakistan because of the Taliban, or like how Dodger fans, with the eminent demise of their stadium, tradition and top tier status for small market status try to find the nearest refuge. In this case, Angel Stadium. You will know the Dodger Refugees next season in the Big A parking lot, with their horse-drawn blue carriages carrying the tired of losing, poor becuase of price hikes and Vladamir Guerrero.By the way.... Have you ever seen the Dodgers do this?Angels Fest 2004 is happening on Saturday, February 14, 10AM - 5PM and Sunday, February 15, 10AM - 4PM at Angel Stadium. FanFest activities include:Meet Angel Players, Coaches, Broadcasters and AlumniGet AutographsMusicAuditions for “Take Me out to the Ballgame.”Youth Baseball ClinicsBaseball Card & Memorabilia ShowSeason Ticket & Group Ticket InformationKids Fun Zone & More!By the way,Angels owner Arte Moreno specifically added the baseball card show to convince Rob he is a Dodger Refugee too and see the light.

How can I hire that guy to go blow away a few players on the Yankees or Stienbrenner? Just kidding really! But you know where I stand on that bitter subject! How about the Angels this upcoming season!? Vlad,Jose Guillen,& Garrett Anderson in the same outfield! I think they might have the best outfield in baseball in my opinion! Tell me one that is better!
