The Mets network made the right decision. All that should matter in this situation is Calabrese's competence and work ethic, not her gender. It's unfortunate that there are still some backward thinking people in 2006.

I'm a massage therapist by trade(fulltime). I have been doing it for about 8 plus years now. I must say it would be pretty cool to be a professional sports team's massage therapist. I would think they get paid pretty well. I enjoy where I work. I stay pretty busy overall, but I would be curious to know how much money she makes as the Padres' massage therapist.

My cousin was the Royals trainer for awhile back in the George Brett days. He didn't make squat doing it, nothing like what the players made, even back then. Today he runs his own business, and makes 3-5 times what he made working for the Royals. And no primadonnas.

Keith Hernandez would probably want her in the locker room though. Does anyone remember that he was part of that 86 Mets team that loved nose candy, booze and strippers(not necesarily in that order). Maybe if the same reporter was dancing around a pole he would want her around. Obviously inteligence and competence in a woman don't do anything for him. I can see it now, "Keith Hernandez stroking his porn stache by the dugout asking 'Who's the skirt? She's a babe'.
