In this article, we look at whether Justin Verlander has become the Ace his owners have been hoping for.

I have Verlander on a couple of my fantasy teams. I hope he is never considered the Tigers ace. I like for him to kind of fly under the radar just a little bit, but keep putting up solid performances. Usually when you are considered an ace, a lot of added pressure goes along with it.

Not yet...but could be. Verlander is no Santana. Santana is what I consider an "ace" and Verlander is not there yet. Let him get some 20 win seasons, a cy young, and/or first round fantasy status. Only then will he an ace to me. Side note: I do have him on my fantasy team and will not part with him.
