From 2006:

"The San Francisco Chronicle, citing team sources, reported earlier Monday that Macha's job was in jeopardy due to his trouble communicating with his players and his "callous attitude" toward injured players."

Communication seems like such an important part of a manager's job. It seems unlikely that Macha will ever be a MLB manager again.

It would be crazy based on that, huh? I don't pay a lot of attention to these things, so I really had no idea Macha had this kind of problem... but it makes no sense for another MLB team to take a chance.

He might be just what the doctor ordered for an unruly college or Independent league team, though.
