I lost some respect for McGwire after watching a few bits of the Congressional hearings on C-Span. I'm not going to talk about the past??? Why didn't he just take the fifth? The 'roids epidemic became quite prevalent during the '90's, so McGwire's took bad advice from his attorney. It will most likely be used against him in the near future. He wouldn't even answer questions regarding his use of Andro, which were still legal when he took it.

As for Jose Canseco, his testimony presented a total opposite view than what he presented in his book. In "Juiced", Canseco wrote that Steroids are a way of life and can enhance your health if used responsibly. But, in his testimony, he described how the 'roids can be detrimental to your lifestyle and how we should discourage kids from taking it. He's even more of a hypocrite than Tom DeLay. Though, if it weren't for him, baseball would still be ignoring the 'roids epidemic.

I lost respect for Congress when they set this whole thing up. Why should McGwire have to tell them ANYTHING?
