Message #1 of 4  *NEW* To :   All From :   Reedster   Subject :   Jenks to lose closer job Date :   3/24/06, 2:40pm There is a lot of talk out there on the various websites, indicating that Jenks could very well lose his closing job to Neal Cotts. Before Jenks' 4 run inning on March 23rd, he was actually having a pretty decent preseason. He did not lose 10 mph on his fastball, as reported last week. He has most definitely had control issues, and Guillen is concerned. My opinion: if you have Jenks on your fantasy team, hold on. I also heard he was struggling with his control this spring & that Ozzie Guillen was thinking about giving Cotts a shot to close. So I took a chance on Cotts. I damn sure need him to close because all I really have is Reitsma & he could be a gamble or a bust. I also picked Mercker up thinking the Reds might give him a shot to close some games since they don't really have a bonified closer. Thanks for the kudos by the way. It's nice to hear that from a fantasy baseball jedi like yourself.
