The first trade of the BGeeks fantasy baseball season has been accepted. Who got the better of the deal?

The Olde English Ds traded away Pedro Martinez and Pat Burrell to the Dominican Tigers for Roy Halladay and Rocco Baldelli.

Hard to say. If I were you, I'm not sure I would have made this deal. Obviously, you need some steals (I guess your reason for the deal) along with some pop to reduce the pain of losing Burrell.

If you have decent power elsewhere, I guess you're okay...

Pedro, with his toe, is arguably on the downside of his career... but, personally, I would rather see what happens with him, rather than give him up in this scenario.

There are quite a few low average, good SB guys on the free agent wire (Matos, Cameron, etc). I might have gone that route to look for SBs.

Just a thought... but this trade will most likely work out as a wash for both players. My general preference, though, with pitchers is to prefer National League pitching studs because 1/9th of the time, they get to pitch to the opposing pitcher.

Then again, this reply might be part of Gregg's and my dastardly plan to see how we could get Halladay from you.
