If my memory serves me right, I can recall going to Anaheim Stadium during the late '80's and early '90's to games that reminded me of the atmosphere depicted in the first "Major League" movie. I'd hear my own echo whenever I opened my voice. If you visit Anaheim/Edison International Field/Angel Stadium today, you'll observe a bunch of bandwagoners rooting for their beloved "Angles". New Yorkers have the same problem as Angelenos when it comes to jumping the bandwagons. When the Mets were dominating the '80's, it was a rare occurance to find a Yankee fan.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but there are no die-hard Cubbie fans rooting for the White Sox in the current World Series. In the Chicagoland area, you're either for the Cubs or the Chi-Sox. The way I see it, that's how a true fan supports their team, good times and bad.
For all you true blue Dodger fans out there, keep the faith. The McCourts are determined to put out a winner. You'll never see me rooting for the Los Angeles/Anaheim/Irvine/San Juan Capistrano Angels, unless they're playing against the Giants, of course.

Don't worry Angle fans. You know how the Brooklyn fans used to tell their beloved bums to "Wait til next year"? For you Angle fans, I would advise you to "Wait til the next bandwagon rolls by".....

Or maybe a new slogan:

"Break out the protractor! Go Angles!"

Well said Jay! Right on with your thoughts...I agree...Boo Giants all the way. Guess it runs in the family...

I do not welcome the "ANGLES" how ever they spell it anyway. It will always sound weird "The Los Angeles Angels" in my way of thinking. Do we really need two Los Angeles teams. I am a true blue Dodger Fan. But as I said before the Dodgers of yesteryear!
