Was informed today by staff at MLB HomePlate on SiriusXM radio that the daily show, "Fantasy Focus", with Jeff Erickson of Rotowire.com had been cancelled. Don't know how many subscribers are out there but, if you enjoy the show, email your displeasure to mlb@xmradio.com. Below is a copy of my email: I have just been informed by one of your people that Jeff Erickson's daily Fantasy Focus program will not be returning. I am flabbergasted by this decision. First, let me say that XM's baseball coverage was the sole reason I became a subscriber. Second, as a Fantasy player, I found Erickson's show to be both entertaining and informative. I would understand any explanation that had to do... Last comment by: Rob Reed @ 2/16/09, 10:06am |

The wives of Alex Gordon and Luke Hochevar draw a blank when asked by a Dallas radio station who Yoko Ono is. Station's response on-air is 'stupid b******' (By: Jaydawg) |
Mrs. Gordon and Hochevar shouldn't take it so hard. The second Mrs. Paul McCartney probably has no idea who Yoko is either. When it comes to stupid b**** wives in baseball, Anna Benson still tops them all, in my opinion. Last comment by: Moonlight Graham @ 4/30/08, 7:48am |

I had the opportunity to attend a taping of Costas Now last night in NY. It was a special on sports in the media featuring five segments, one was on sportstalk radio and another on the internet and blogging. Representatives for the two mediums, Chris Russo of WFAN in NY and Rick Leitch of deadspin.com were exposed as having no subsatnce by the Giants' Michael Strahan and Friday Night Lights author, Buzz Bissinger, respectively. That both admitted in their openings that their business depends upon their preying on the negative served as ammunition for the actual sportsmen to blow them up. This character assassination of these two young women is another example. Both of them are... Last comment by: Moonlight Graham @ 4/30/08, 7:48am |

Is Smoltz the best pitcher in Atlanta Brave history? (By: JoeKool2322) |
John Smoltz added another milestone to his illustrious career has an Atlanta Brave pitcher. Whether getting the call in the 9th inning or being penciled every 5th day, Smoltz has been a flat-out gamer and one of my favorite Braves of all-time. After recording his 3,000 K of his career it got me wondering where should Smoltz rank among all-time Brave pitchers. From Maddux, to Niekro, to Glavine, to Spahn, one has to wonder where would Smoltz fall under. To me it is simple. He is the BEST pitcher in Braves history. Name another pitcher who was a starter, converted to closer, then to starter and was damn good in all positions. No pitcher ever has made the transition smoother. He... Joe, I must say that this is one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard. Without even going to baseball reference to support my position with even more stats that would make your stance look silly, I'll just throw these at you. Spahn won 363 games and didn't appear in a major league game until he was 25. He won 20 THIRTEEN times! Yes, Smoltz has been a great postseason pitcher but don't forget, he's had many more playoff rounds and has played on better team. Would you rather have Bernie Williams or Mickey Mantle in your playoff lineup? Williams has the record for HR but Mickey only played World Series games. The fact... 2008 Corner Infield Preview The Fantasy Forecast by Brooklyn Eagle (), published online 02-21-2008 By Moonlight Graham BROOKLYN — “Who’s on First?” Had Abbott been able to pose this question to his fellow Roto owner, Costello, just a few years ago, Lou would have taken quite a while to answer. Albert Pujols, David Ortiz, Jim Thome, Travis Hafner, Jason Giambi, Richie Sexson, Mark Teixeira, Carlos Delgado, Lance Berkman, Adam Dunn and Todd Helton were all virtual certainties for 40 HR and 100 RBI. The position was so loaded that owners never had to worry about reaching early. Moreover, it was standard practice to fill the Corner Infield spot with another First Sacker, as Third Basemen were not as abundant. However, the list of First Base...
