I wouldn't be surprised to still see Young make the Opening Day roster.

He deserves it.

What the hell are the Devil Rays waiting on? It's time for Delmon Young. He is ready! Upton isn't a bad player either. If I were the D'Rays, I would go ahead & give both these guys a shot in the big leagues.

In my opinion, this should be the D'Rays line up:

I would platoon Baldelli & Gathright.

Baldelli or Gathright - CF
Crawford - LF
Cantu - 2B
Gomes - DH
Delmon Young - RF
Huff - 3B
Lugo - SS
Hall - C
Lee - 1B

I think Upton & Huff could platoon at 3B.
Huff & Travis Lee could platoon at 1B.
Damon Hollins could come off the bench as a pinch hitter & be the D'Rays 4th or 5th outfielder.

The D'Rays will score a lot of runs this season.

It is only a matter of time before both Young and Upton are on the big league club. The Rays will be out of the race in a month and the call-ups will begin.

You may be right! I have a feeling that the Rays are going to hang around in the race a little while though. They are much improved. If they just had a little more pitching & the damn Yankees weren't in there division, they have the talent to challenge in that division. They will be better than you might think. I'm predicting a 500 season. I think the D'Rays are that much better.

The Devil Rays could lead the majors in runs this year, but they have to get Travis Lee out of a starting role. He's back-up material. I'd put Huff at 1B and Upton at 3B. Then the only weak hitting spot in the lineup would be catcher.

I drafted these guys late to hang on to them for later on. This is a real buzz kill for me. I have to think about whether or not to hold for later. Who has the potential to to be called up first? At all? What are these guys doing in Tampa? Who mskes these decisions? Upton is ready to me. Young should start the season and be given a chance to earn his keep and then be demoted if he doesn't show he belongs. What have the Rays got to lose. I have the baseball package on cable, and I will just bypass the Tampa games if Crawford or Lugo isn't batting. I will watch Kazmir pitch though...maybe I was a little hasty....
