These allegations are bound to be taken seriously since A-Rod is on pace to break the home run record in the next decade. Say what you want about Canseco, but widespread steroid usage would still be a way of life in baseball if he and Ken Caminiti hadn't spilled the beans.
Canseco has certainly been "Vindicated", as the title of his latest book suggests. Remember the House Judiciary Committee hearings from a few years ago? Palmeiro was totally lying through his teeth when he was wagging his finger around, Sosa was pretending as if he couldn't comprehend English in any way, and McGwire kept saying he didn't want "to talk about the past". In retrospect, Canseco was the only one telling the truth, which is why I believe these allegations against A-Rod will be investigated.
