The FAB ended last night at 11:00pm EST

Here is my final roster
24 Players - Total Payroll $96.0 Million
C Barrett (CHN) $2.5/1Y
1B Lee (CHN) $8.5/3Y NT
2B Giles (ATL) $8.5/3Y
3B Ensberg (HOU) $5.0/3Y
SS Rollins (PHI) $8.0/3Y NT
OF Ichiro (SEA) $12.0/3Y
OF Ordonez (DET) $2.0/2Y
OF Hermida (FLA) $5.0/2Y
DH Giambi (NYA) $1.0/2Y

BENCH
OF Lane (HOU) $2.0/3Y
OF Rowand (PHI) $2.5/2Y
C Estrada (ARZ) $1.5/1Y
SS Adams (TOR) $0.5/2Y
2B/3B/OF Mackowiak (CHN) $0.5/1Y

Starting Pitchers
Buehrle (CHA) $9.0/2Y
Myers (PHI) $9.0/2Y
Webb (ARZ) $7.0/2Y NT
Bonderman (DET) $5.0/2Y
Towers (TOR) $1.0/1Y
Marquis (STL) $0.5/1Y
Maholm (PIT) $0.5/2Y

Bullpen
Dempster $2.0/2Y
Betancourt $1.5/1Y
Villarreal (ATL) $1.0/1Y
------------------------------------
I was in on Pettite up to the very end of the FAB, but lost out. That is why I only have 24 players and an extra $4.0 million.

Chad Cordero went undrafted, so I have a Free Agent bid in on him and will everything within my power to obtain him. Roster max is 25 players, so I would not have to drop anyone.

We have to start a Closer, Setup & Middle Relief. Betancourt is my MR ... and Cordero & Dempster would be my setup & closer. I have a hunch on Villarreal ... he has been looking good this Spring. He could be the setup to Rietsma and possible closer this season.

Keeping mind that this is a 12-Team Head-to-Head points league, how do you rate my team? Any weaknesses? Strengths?

Thanks, Caesar

This is a solid team! Starting pitching is really awesome! If you get Chad Cordero, that will top it off! How did Chad Cordero go undrafted? Maybe there is something I'm not getting there. I like fantasy baseball leagues with salary caps. Pretty neat! It is somewhat like the BBM but slightly different.

Dr,

Gameday Ritual's FAB may be the best method of player procurement, I have ever experienced. A lot of fun, and tons of strategy. Just read over my blog. The players I thought I would get changed hourly.

GDR is a head-to-head poitns league with a weekly schedule. I am in a non-playoff league, but you can have a plyoff league if you'd like.

In regards to Cordero going undrafted, every player has a minimum salary. Combine that with the fact that each team will get an additional $10.0 after teh FAB and players like Gagne and his $4.0 minimum salary, slip.

Here is a short list of some other players that went undrafted:
Eric Gagne
Matt Morris
Adam Everett
Frank Thomas
Brian McCann (I was going to go after him if I did not get Estrada)
AJ Burnett (injury risk scared people off)
Bobby Jenks
Mark Prior (I was surprised that he went undrafted)
Adam LaRoche

Take a look at the GDR manual ...

manual.htm

It is pretty cool and quite a bit cheaper than BBM.
