Should Dave Concepcion Be in The Hall of Fame?
(By: Jaydawg)

Dave Concepcion was one of the leaders of the Big Red Machine in Cincinnati during the '70's and deserves honorable mention in Cooperstown, IMHO. True, his hitting wasn't up to speed with most of the all-time greats, but he was definitely one of the best fielders of ever to play the game. Davey is also one of 14 players to get over 2,000 hits in at least 2,000 games.

Take a look at Concepcion's career statistics when compared to current Hall of Famer, Ozzie Smith. Keep in mind that both of them played for 19 seasons.

Hall of Fame Candidates for 2006
(By: Jaydawg)

After looking at the list of first-year candidates, I see quite a few who should make it in easily. They include names like Ozzie Guillen, Orel Hershiser, and Will Clark. But, after looking at other candidates who have been on the waiting-list for several years, I'm not so sure. These are guys who you would think are shoo-ins for Cooperstown, but they have been on the ballot for five years or more. I'm talking about Dave Concepcion, Steve Garvey, Goose Gossage, Andre Dawson, Don Mattingly, Dale Murphy, Dave Parker, and Bruce Sutter. All of these former players are just as deserving (if not more) to get into the Hall as Robin Yount,...

October 18, 2005: Barry Bonds promises that he will answer fans e-mails on his website during the offseason. To this day, he hasn't answered ANY
(By: Jaydawg)

Busted!! Just another example of Ba-Bo's hypocracy and narcissistic attitude. Here's exactly what Bonds said in "Barry's Journal" on his website: "During the offseason, I will be updating the site once or twice a month. However, I will be answering e-mails, giving shout outs, and selecting a winner each month." END OF QUOTE
This letter was dated October 18, 2005 and it was the last time that Barry contributed to his own site.

Predictions: 2005 Season
(By: Jaydawg)

N.L. West Champ- Dodgers... Don't laugh! I have more confidence in this years team than last year and they won 93 games. If you'll refer to my post last spring on this subject, I predicted at least 85 wins for the '04 Blue Crew and I took a lot of heat for it. Watch guys like Jayson Werth and Hee-Seop Choi become household names.

N.L. East Champ- Phillies... The Braves won't be able to compete with their offense, plus they have Billy Wagner to give them that extra lift down the stretch.

N.L. Central Champ- Cardinals... They have the best offense and the addition of Mark...
