Looks like no more money on the table, but the second year turns into a$20 million option in '10 for Manny, who can decide to opt out and become a free agent again.
Looks pretty certain to me that Manny will be a Dodger again... any day now.
I don't see anything about a deadline. The only way the Red Sox stopped Boras from playing the phantom "Mystery Team" card with Varitek was saying the offer had a deadline. I think that McCourt and co. need to stand firm and call Bor-ass's bluffs.
How many X-Box games and Maui-wowie can one guy buy? Maybe he'll sit out the season and swoop in like a savior just before the playoffs a la Roger Clemens and the Yankees.
I hope not. I don't like this guy. I hope the greedy ass b@$t@%d doesn't get signed at all. He joins A-Roid as my 2 most hated players currently in the game. Maybe Manny should go play for the Yankees so I can hate him even more.
I assume we are all capitalists here, the man deserves whatever the man can get. The day you turn down an ad for this site, or a better paying job altogether...

I think what annoys me the most at this point is somehow, in this era with NO steroids to lengthen a career, Manny somehow thinks he should be paid like he is turning 27 rather than 37.
