Davis had a BABIP of 351, and was on pace for 178 K, so lets nip that BA upside thing right now in the bud.

Also Encarnacion saw his ISO jump 66 points last year, the average dipped, but he hit 276 and 289 in the previous seasons so lets assume the 250 was the fluke and figure to give him one more chance.

Hi AA: I am with you here, and I have said the exact thing. The folks who have disagreed with me have made one very solid point to consider. Davis' BABIP in the minors was spot on the same, so it looks like a skill set rather than a year of luck in limited time.

So, Davis is not a bad pick at all... but I am on the record saying that he is the most likely to "sophomore slump" for the very reasons you stated.
